I received a referral from a good photographer friend of mine last spring and sweet Mackenzie came into my life and allowed me to be a part of she and Kellen's special day through floral design. Mackenzie's wedding was to be at the Tyee Yacht Club on Lake Union. Her beautiful colors were purples, vibrant and muted as well as baby blush pinks. She wanted a classic, domed bouquet for her walk down the aisle.
I knew right away I needed to include ocean song and amnesia roses in order to bring out those beautiful, varied purples. Combined with rice flower and lots of eucalyptus, the vision for Mackenzie's flowers came together.
The bride asked me to include a necklace engraved with a replica of her grandma's handwriting in her bouquet, a personal touch which I was more than happy to help come to life!
Bridal party pictures were taken aside the lake, sparkling on the cool winter morning.
I used ocean song rose petals as pops of purple on the reception tables, which would be lit later in the evening by lanterns- a simple and cost-effective floral touch!
The groom wore a champagne rose with purple statice as an accent.
Gatherings of ruscus, alstromeria, roses, baby's breath and statice adorned the gift, favor and sign in tables around the venue.
I will love you with my whole heart, for my whole life.
The PNW winter chill allowed local hydrangea to brighten to a vibrant violet which popped beautifully from amidst the blush pink, O'Hara garden roses.
