Confession: I am friends with Lauren but we weren't as close when she first booked me as her florist last year. Her April wedding at Hidden Meadows was one of my season's high lights because I just love attending the weddings I design for! It's fun to see the behind the scenes and contribute to the event and then see it all play out. Lauren and Case are a lovely, friendly, sweet and amazing couple and I am honored to call them clients and friends.
Lauren was using light purple, dark purple and pistachio for her wedding colors. She was torn between a more gathered shape for her bouquets and a more boho vibe, in the end she asked me to use my judgement and I couldn't have been more happy with the way her bouquets turned out.
Lauren loved the idea of using her arbor arrangements as her head table decor and I switched them during the cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception.
Hidden Meadows has a beautiful walkway with six tie backs for curtains, the couple had me decorate those tie backs with eucaluptus and pops of color.
Lauren asked me to make greenery crowns for all of her bridesmaids and I loved the way they turned out!
The bride and groom asked me to make some small bouts and corsages for their parents as well, which I styled similarly to the groomsmen's arrangements.
Case and Lauren wanted to be very budget friendly with their tables so they asked me to just add a touch of greenery and a small flower to each of their tables.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Straughen! I love you both! Pictures by Dan Manning Photography
